Vegas Wedding Tips

1. Wedding Chapels: Please click here for wedding chapels and wedding packages information. A reservation is mostly required for the chapel wedding.

2. Holidays: You should take holidays into account when planning your Las Vegas wedding. Whereas it may seem romantic to wed on the Valentine's Day, you should remember that Valentines Day is a hugely popular day in Las Vegas chapels. The line at the chapels may be up to five hours long. Another popular day is the New Year's Eve, for obvious reasons. Out-of-town wedding guests will be competing for the flights and hotel rooms with the other tourists who will crowd the city to celebrate the New Year. Reception sites are also solidly booked during the holiday period. The Marriage License Bureau of Clark County is open 24 hours on holidays but long lines are to be expected.

3. Weather: Las Vegas boasts of beautiful and sunny climate for the most part. The summer months, however, may provide extremely hot and uncomfortable weather, but all inside buildings has comfortable air temperature. From the month of May through the month of September, the temperatures may exceed 100?F. The temperatures come back to the comfortable level at night, however. This may be the reason to plan an evening ceremony during the hot months of summer. Please consult the weather section for more information.

4. Laws: Although it is true that you can have a quick marriage in Las Vegas, there still are legal requirements you must meet to acquire a marriage license. Please check the section on the legalities of weddings in Las Vegas.

5. Witnesses: For those who plan the wedding on the spur of the moment, Las Vegas wedding chapels offer persons who can serve as the wedding witness with no-extra charge.

6 Time: Most of the hundreds of the wedding chapels in Las Vegas normally allow only half an hour of chapel time for the wedding ceremony for there usually are several events scheduled each day. Some chapels give you the option of scheduling a longer ceremony for additional cost.

7 The Official: In most Las Vegas wedding chapels, you are provided with a minister for either civil ceremony or a religious one. You are reminded that most chapel do not allow outside ministers or other officials.

The Wedding Vows in Civil Ceremony

Marriage is an honorable estate. It is not to be entered into lightly or unadvisedly, but discreetly and soberly. Into this relationship these two persons come now to be joined. I therefore charge both of you that if you know any reason why you should not be joined in marriage, you make it known at this time.

-------, will you take ------- to be your wedded wife, to live together in the bonds of marriage? Will you love her, comfort him, honor and keep her, so long as you both shall live?
The bridegroom answers: I will

--------, will you take -------- to be your wedded husband, to live together in the bonds of marriage? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, so long as you both shall live?
The bride answers: I will

The bridegroom repeats: I, --------, take thee --------- to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish.

The bride repeats: I, ---------, take thee ---------- to be my wedded husband, to have to hold from this day forward, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish.

The bridegroom repeats: With this ring I thee wed, and will all my love I thee endow.

The bride repeats: I accept this ring in token of our constant faith and abiding love.

Minister: Inasmuch as you have thus consented together in marriage, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the laws of the State of Nevada, I now pronounce you husband and wife.
